The Power of Diversity

The United States’ greatest strength is our diversity. How we leverage that diversity is critical to our continued success. Many groups face exclusion from systems that marginalize them, resulting in increased conflict and/or reduced productivity in organizations and communities. 

The National Diversity Collaborative addresses these concerns by drawing upon more than 100 years of diversity and inclusion, leadership, and consulting experience from our team and board members. The Power of Diversity initiative focuses on diversity and inclusion as an organizational and community imperative by emphasizing respect for each individual. Using the NDC Collaborative Consulting model, The Power of Diversity helps participants identify systemic and psychological processes that contribute to how individuals interact with those who are different from themselves. Each initiative is custom designed for the client based on information generated by the NDC Collaborative Consulting Model. As the title suggests, there is power in diversity…power to reduce conflict, power to increase productivity and power to positively affect revenues. In this intervention, participants will: 

  • Explore diversity and inclusion in the 21 centuries.
  • Learn to create environments that support diversity and inclusion.
  • Evaluate and appreciate how primary and secondary dimensions of diversity affect society.
  • Comprehend the relationship between equity, inclusion, productivity and organizational success.
  • Acquire proficiency to modify subconscious micro-aggressions and implicit bias to generate positive solutions.
  • Construct cross cultural conflict resolution strategies.
  • Integrate diversity and inclusion with performance evaluations and personal growth.
  • Create action plans integrating new behaviors into the performance appraisal systems to increase accountability.

Training is available in blended (online and face-to-face) and face-to-face formats.
